At the top of the last hill, I looked down at my watch, saw my last mile time and felt in my core that it might happen! I had my first “white light” glimpse of achieving my goal. That was when I really started to believe that I could do it.

The hardest part of the race was just over; I had made it over all the hills and lost little time. I had a good downhill right in front of me and I was still on goal pace and feeling extremely fluid and energized. I was having the perfect moment. My life, my world: I was peaking. I was running downhill past Boston College effortlessly, in perfect health, in perfect weather, fluid breathing and strides. It was a moment I will never forget.

I got to the bottom of the hill, checked my watch and saw the 23rd mile split: 5:24—and if felt effortless! I continued to run my heart out over the next three miles, averaging 5:30 per mile—my fastest pace of the entire race!

As I turned the corner with 600 meters to go, seeing the finish line and knowing I had my sub-2:30 in hand, it was one of the greatest moments of my life. I crossed the finish line with my arms raised in pure joy…I can’t believe it, I did it, I did it!

On April 19, 2010 I ran The Boston Marathon in 2 hours, 28 minutes and 29 seconds!  I averaged 5:39 per mile, placing 56th overall.

I am living proof that a 100% raw, low-fat, fruitarian diet works! I have Mother Nature to thank for the fulfillment of my heart’s desire!

After reading today’s immensely sad news that the Obama administration has decided to start a billion-dollar government drug development center, I can only think that Mr. Obama and the world need to know that Natural Hygiene education is the far better alternative. People need to discover the University of Natural Health http://www.vibranthealthandwealth.com/university.html and read Dr. Hebert M. Shelton’s books and our Vibrance magazine. -Dr. David Klein
